No Amy Adams in "Idol Gives Back"?

This is a major disappointment - Amy Adams didn't appear at all in "Idol Gives Back". I'm bummed she wasn't there and I don't understand why FOX made the announcement that she would be featured in the show last week.

We knew she wasn't at the recording at the Kodak Theatre three days ago (for the simple reason that she was still filming "Julie & Julia" in New York) but the LA Times confirmed yesterday that she had pre-taped a message for the show. What happened? Why FOX didn't air it? I'm really puzzled by this decision.

What do you guys think?

On another off-topic note, I know I usually don't do this but it would mean THE WORLD to me if you could vote for Hayley Westenra on http://www.classicalbrits.co.uk/voting. She's a fantastic 20-year-old singer and she's nominated for "Best album". I call her the "Amy Adams of classical music" just because she's so sweet and caring like our very own Amy.

I'm going to the ceremony in London (it's broadcasted on BBC, singers such as Josh Groban, Sarah Brightman and Andrea Boccelli are going to sing!) and I would really, really love to see her win. It only takes a couple of minutes to fill in some details (you can made up a phone number and an email address if you wish!!) and then cast your vote for "Hayley Westenra - Treasure".

You have no idea how much this would mean to me. Thank you so so so so so much in avance! Love ya all!

Absolutely ridiculous! She's such an "IDOL". To leave her out is a travesty.

No idea why Fox would release a statement that she was appearing when she wasn't there.

I first thought it would be a pre-taped message, as we all know she is currently filming "Julie and Julia" in NY. So it's either they didn't show her part, or she has suddenly become unavailable for the taping, or it was the other Amy Adams (the Idol contestant- but I don't think I saw even that other Amy).

Anyway, was there any other person who was announced to appear and also didn't make it? I think Fantasia is one.

I have to say I don't watch Idol, but I did read something that said "Idol Gives Back" was going to be a series of segments over the span of several nights. So don't lose hope. I could be wrong, but I know I read something that said it was a series.

They also did not show pre-taped messages from Clinton, Obama & McCain. My guess is they ran out of showing time.
