"Enchanted" sequel with Amy Adams to go ahead?

A foxy little birdie cheeped in the ear of Clint Morris from Moviehole.net that Disney is developing a sequel to “Enchanted” – and the production has inched forward significantly in the past month or two, as a direct result of those smashing DVD sales.

Director Kevin Lima has apparently already spoken to Disney about the sequel even though he's currently busy working on "The Spook's Apprentice". It’s not yet known whether the sequel will reunite Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey – though, if the price is right, it probably will.

"That's what the guts of the discussions are about at the moment", Morris is been told. "More soon. Promise".

Something should emerge in the trades soonish, by the sounds…

I hope they bring back all of the original cast

I hope any sequel has plenty of beautiful 2D animation.

If Edward and Nancy can go to Andalasia at will, Robert and Giselle should be able to as well.

it would be too goofy if they made this movie with another cast. They should either make it with the original cast or just not make it. Enchanted is too good to be messed up in a sequel.

Thanks for the post, Steph :)

And I already thought that a sequel was stuck on Amy's contract, anyways? But still excited, anyways.

And how adorable does Amy look in that picture? I want to seriously pinch her cheeks!

Reprise: the "not-a-very-nice-old-man" returning the tiara; Giselle goes shopping with her mother, Clarissa ("Clara" on the bench feeding pigeons?); Edward's sword is returned to Andalasia; and for some reason Giselles has to "leave" Robert. . .for a spell; and Pip as usual comes to the rescue.

Talk about reprise: Let's see Robert's ex trying to sieze custody of Morgan. Pip will definitely have to come to the rescue then.
